I am having trouble hosting WWP games again. Players are simply not able to connect to my games.

I have a:
Dell Optiplex GX1
128MB Ram
Pentium II 350MHz Processor
Windows 98

I now have cable high speed internet and I am using a NetGear cable modem.

Can somebody help me?

I have recieved 2 suggestions from WormNet users that have worked for them: clear the 6677 irc port, or get IP over. How do I clear the 6677 irc port or where can I get the IP Over program that the users are talking about?

IP Override 2.0 (http://www.blamethepixel.com/file.php?id=0876).

You don't have to do anything with port 6677 but you should forward port 17010, 17011 and 17012.

Thanks a lot, but my router settings page has a start port and an end port. What should I enter?

I think the only port you have to open is 17010.Oops! He means 17011. Really, though, people (including me) have had hosting problems on WWP if 17010 and 17012 are not also forwarded. However, no such problem exists with the latest version of WA.

PlainPlane, just put 17010 as the start port and 17012 as the end port. That way you've got them all covered ;). I know W:A only uses 17011, but i'm not sure about WWP.

Because it was technically incorrect and we want to keep the confusion factor to a bare minimum where possible. Please check your sources again before posting.

We don't send out PMs every time we delete a post - that would overload the forum. You only get PMs when you get a warning or infraction.

Port Fowarding and IP Override 2.0 solved the problem.

Thanks for your help!
