Hi guys, it's been a while since I created a thread of my own. I have a simple point. There aren't many people at all who MAKE avatars, but there are some people who are awesome at compression. I'll start it off with a real challenge.

See if someone can get this below the limit:

No way you can resize that to 9.8 and keep it nice quality, even with just 2 colors its to big...

That's because you lack experience and ingenuity.

Looking at this av, I think I'll need to spend quite a bit of time on it. Mabye later if Apoc doesn't do it faster.

No way you can resize that to 9.8 and keep it nice quality, even with just 2 colors its to big...Ehm.. yours is 5-6kb, so you prove it CAN be done :rolleyes:

Why convert it to 50x50? The 100x100 is just fine.

...this time without antialiased text...I took your anti-aliasing and threw it in the garbage bin :p then I chose 4 random colors and a bunch of frames to make it tiny :rolleyes:

I meant if the 100x100 version works fine, why convert it to 50x50?

The thing (I think) he wants us to do, is get the 100*100 below the 10000 bytes limit, so he can use the 100*100 instead of the small 50*50 avatar...

^^The biggest I ever tried and (though crappy) got it below 10000 bytes was danger's 103kb massive gif ><
Just so you know, I'm not going to even TRY this animation.
