Well, I decided to do this because I see a lot of people that try to host his game, but have problems. I'll try to explain all the posibilities, and some tricks about that. So if you have problems, hope this help you ;).

(TIP: Worms Armageddon = WA)

1. Let's know your IP
Go to Start > Execute, and tip cmd. A MS-DOS screen will be displayed. In that window, type ipconfig. You should see some numers with that format: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. These numbers are the IP address.
Here you can see some IP addresses (the IP you want is the one that puts IP address, sure ;))
You also can find an IP like 192.168.... or 127.0.0.1...this is a private IP. This IP won't work in Internet connections. For know your public IP is recommended to use a service (a program, a webiste...). As example, you can get it in a website like http://www.whatsmyip.org/. When you enter you will see your IP in the top, very big and easy to see it :).

Well, once you have your IP localized, you have to know that your IP can be dynamic or static.
A IP is static when always is the same, when doesn't changes.
A IP is dynamic when changes when you restart your modem/router or the ISP wants to change it.
This depends of your ISP. If you have a static IP, you can omit the next step.
If you have a dynamic IP, let's see this next step ;)

2. Let's make a DNS service account
This is a very great thing if you have a dynamic IP. A DNS service let's you to hide your IP behind a address. There are some websites that offer you that service. You can use for example http://www.no-ip.org . Register an account with your email, and select a name for your new DNS account.
If you used as name wormboy, your address will be wormboy.no-ip.org (this is default, you also can change the "no-ip.org" extension).
TIP: no-ip.org is also amazing because you can get a program (No-IP DUC, downloadable from the no-ip.org page) that can get automatically your IP, and update it when you restart your PC (very useful).

Ok, now you have the DNS account.

If you have router
If you have router, you'll need to open the WA ports (also, port-forwarding).
In the website http://www.portforward.com/ you can select your router to see how to open them up. The ports you need to open are listed in http://www.portforward.com/cports.htm (make a search, and you will find Worms Armageddon and their respective ports to open for succesfully play). Once followed this instructions (remember also to configure your Windows SP2 Firewall if you have it enabled) you won't have any problem.

Setting in-game
Now open your WA and go to internet connection. Afterwards, select Configuration, and you will see a kind of box with an IP (or empty). Here, you may put your DNS account (or your static IP address).

Now you will be able to host, play, and other stuff without any headache :).

If you have doubts, problems...please comment them here!

Ehrm, not needed.
This thread already is sticky: http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18238

And, oh wonder, it links to nanacide.com/wahelp which has tutorials for all those topics...
Except a tutorial for the No-IP service.

Yeah, but I mean a more accesible guide. Because what everybody wants about these problems is enter here and find a solution. Then people can visit WAhelp for more info or something else.

AND, as you said, WAhelp lacks (I think, didn't visit in a while) of a No-IP guide.

Nice guide anyway.

Oh great :P, I didn't saw that guide. However I think its a full guide that can help some "lost worm" (lol).

It includes tips like the DNS that can help someone (like me hehe).

Thank you about :D

A free dynamic DNS.
With a small tool that constantly updates your external IP address locally and redirects it to your DNS.

Yea no-ip.org is a great service. With that DNS address you can do lots of things (and is useful in this case ;P).
