WA Linux Port?

Is there even the slightest chance of a linux port ever being made? It's a lot to ask, I know, but WINE is definitely not a piece of cake to set up. A port of Warcraft (of a sort) has been done before, I know that, so maybe it's possible.
This is probably sounding like a far-fetched idea, but I think it could be done, as long as all the formulae are replicated properly. The rest is, of course, graphics, sound and input.

Yes, wine is less than optimal.

Given that the WA frontend is going to be rewritten, there's talk of writing it so that ports to other operating systems (using, say, sdl) will be easier. A Linux port is a possibility that DC and CS are keeping in mind but nothing has been promised.
