I've updated to service pack one of Worms World Party, but I still can't find a place where it will let me specify the ip address of a host on my local network. I won't be able to make the auto-host-finder work for my network (long story), so any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have the same problem dude. i've forwarded all the ports u need for wwp: ports 80 and 6677, and 17010, 17011, and 17012. and ive changed my address override in the registry to "1" instead of "0" and ive changed my local IP in registry to my lan hosts IP address, and ive set the firewall on the hosts computer to accept router requests just this morning so ill check if it works now. anyways, yea ill look at this thread and see if anyone has any info on what i should do next if this doesnt work. btw i have windows ME.

As I read somewhere else, the game finder broadcasts a UDP message to find local hosts (I assume everyone within your subnet). However, I'm trying to get it to work on a wireless link that I don't own (university), which doesn't allow broadcast UDP. I've no problem getting it to work on my wired LAN.
Pretty sure this doesn't help you any, but I figured it doesn't hurt to be a little more verbose about my problem.

Yeah, I've no hope of getting the auto-finder to work (short of forging a return packet with the host I want, which I've considered lol). I really just need some way to specify the host through the game interface. I thought maybe there might be a parameter you can add to the shortcut, but my google searches haven't came up with anything.
