Playing worms 2 over the internet

We are trying to play a game of worms over the internet. We create a room and can see each other and chat in there and then one of us creates a game. The other can see it, but when we click on join room a grey box appears 'searching for room' and then counts up indefinitely and doesn't find it.

Can anyone help please with our connections?
