View Full Version : Help me find a good font style for this poster

From the first moment I first saw this image (http://www.nanacide.com/images/SA_Run/UniverseF%75ckYou.jpg) I wanted to turn it into a poster. Well now I have created a high-res version (http://www.nanacide.com/images/SA_Run/poster.png) (warning: 1.2 MB) but because my computer is horribly lacking in the font deparment I can't get a decent looking font.

The closest I can get is Edwardian Script ITC, but it's not bold enough (the original image has the right boldness). Since it's going to be turned into a big glossy poster when I go back to uni I want to get it right. Does anyone have any fonts to suggest?

It realy depends what style of font you want.

You can find some excelent free comic-style fonts at www.blambot.com

I'd say he wants a font like the one in the original pic.

Yeah, something fairly curly yet still quite bold :)

Does anyone have any fonts to suggest?
Cool image. Try this site for fonts http://www.dafont.com/ Some good ones on there, most of which are free.

There is also a handy preview mode (http://www.dafont.com/top.php?nb_ppp_old=10&page=1&top=1&text=Run%27s+cool+new+font&nb_ppp=10&classt=alpha).
