That's only relevant for XP... if he's trying to play multiplayer (wormnet?) then wouldn't he need the update, thus disabling fiddler? I'm not perfectly sure.
murut87, what version of windows do you have? Are you using wormnet or LAN?

3.0.5.0 ? Fiddler works only with 3.0.0.0 :( Very bad luck, you have a Trymedia version.

In the second post I linked to Run's (more sophisticated) tutorial on nanacide which was based on this one.

Multiplayer over LAN should just work.
Fiddler has a built-in restriction to prevent you from using it over WormNET. The original reasons for this don't seem as serious anymore, and some forgotton souls have figured out a way around it: You have to click the manual load button after you've started to host or joined a game.
Everyone in a multiplayer game must load Fiddler with the same scheme or it won't work. Some schemes have weapons that need a worm sprite that doesn't exist (you can tell because if you take out one of these weapons, your worm is invisible while he's standing still); don't use them in multiplayer, they will cause a desync.

Waitwaitwait... so fiddler can in fact be used over WormNET? This is news to me!

You will need some tool to press the button for your from within the game, as minimizing will most likely crash the game.
I heard that AutoHotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com) can do the job.
