Everyone says this game is the best of all worms games but it looks just like the other 2d worms games. What makes this one better than the others?

Let me begin by saying that WA and WWP are essentially the same game. If you looked at screenshots, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. WWP and WA have the same graphics, the same weapons, the same sounds, and the same terrain sets. So when making the choice between the two, it all comes down to the smaller features which add up to make a big difference.
There are a few things that WWP has which WA doesn't, such as a mission editor, a few "wormpot" modes like high-friction or super-rope, and more single-player missions.
But there are far, far more things which WA has that WWP doesn't. For a short list of the most significant features, see here (http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/info-updatefeatures.php). The reason for this is that WA is currently being updated. Dozens of updates have been released over the past two years, whereas WWP was last updated in 2003. The updates aren't set to end any time soon, either, and an awful lot more has been planned for the game.
Most people will tell you that WA also has a larger, and more active online community.

Haha, I was reading that thinking "This is awfully familiar".

I thought Worms Armageddon had both better and very very very very many more missions. Otherwise, I completely agree.

No, W:A has 33 missions while WWP has 45 plus 8 official user missions.
Also, W:A has 5 training missions while WWP has 19 training missions, 16 time attacks and 20 multiplayer missions.
Hehehehe. I can barely wait for the merge! I want those mission records. >:D
There is going to be a merge? By Deadcode?
I wouldn't expect 'there is' to be 'there will, soon' though.
I hope I'm wrong.
There is going to be a merge? By Deadcode?
Yes, Deadcode is going to merge with Helios and will become a god-like entity.
Try answering the question.....

i think you mean it has 5 campaigns... because i was greatly under the impression after doing more then 5 training missions that there is more then 5.

Well, you may call them disciplines with a few exercises in them each.
And it's 6 with the Basic Training, BTW.

Yes, Deadcode wants to turn WA and WWP into the same game.
Does that basically mean converting the missions and stuff and adding WormPot to W:A?

I'm fairly sure the WormPot will be added, but I dont know about the missions.
I think that by the time it happens, wormpot will be obsolete

You would need a Wormtub then.

...
Screw that; Team17 should have a couple of empty galleons lying around.
Wormpot effects are to be included in schemes. This is planned as WWP compatibility, along with conversion of WWP network logs into replays, but fiddler support is planned to come before that. (From a discussion with him last week)
Concerning Missions, Deadcode has already started to convert WWP SinglePlayer missions so that they can be played in WA. No idea how far he went on that task in the meantime. (Discussion held in March iirc)
