View Full Version : The whole Kelster-love-triangle-quadrangle?-whatever

A lot can be said about the maturity of a forum when something so simple as a relationship seems to spawn all sorts of conspiracies, evil plans and just overall messes.

The love-triangle-whatever which seems to involve Kelster/Plasma/agent luke/BuffaloKid/etc, the fact that any attempt to draw them apart is considered OMG CONSPIRACY, etc.

I dunno how much is serious or not, but the whole thing is just so ridiculous it's funny to watch.

What I don't quite understand about it all is that Kelster is a bit of an idiot. Sure, she can draw, but I'm not sure where we've come to if drawing talent is the sole arbiter of maturity. On top of that, she's arrogant. So why does everyone seem to want to fall for her?

She's a girl. The people on this forum are boys who have never had a relationship before. Also, internet.

Or something, I dunno, the last thing I wanna do is make sense of this forum. It could also be that HK and Saffya weren't as active.

It's a love square. Or something.
Maybe Kelster has had an affair with everyone in the forum.

And more and more, it seems to be getting apparent to me that the "new" members are rather... well, a*holes.
BK and Plasma especially. And I think that they think they're funny. Maybe.
Is it possible to give them the message that their "I'm a jerk, but not really" schtick is stupid?

Who knows, maybe she's a hottie or something, maybe they have a pic of her somewhere, because I can't see any other reason for attraction. Attraction purely based on posts is... well, odd.

Iguana claims he does it as a protest against OD's 'elitism'.
Frankly, I find it rather hypocritical and ironic when he and his secret posse jump on the bandwagon with all the fads and stuff.

The only thing I'm aware of in this whole event is Pigbuster's now-deceased "LOVE, YAY" seizure-vatar. And that's all I need to be aware of, because anything else would just spoil the pure out-of-contextual humor of it.

worMatty lecture time.

It's quite easy to literally fall in love on the internet. A lot of barriers that prevent people from taking the opportunity in real life are removed and it's easier for the person with the bug to control the process. There is rarely any concrete reason for the relationship to start, it's usually formed by each person convincing themselves that, due to the ease with which it happened and the accessibility, it was meant to happen. The fact that it's illogical how two people can fall in love over a few text-based conversations boosts the person's belief in that. The lovers think that if they hadn't had taken the opportunity it would have been wasted. It's a big emotional trap.

Looking at some of the posts and Plasma's comment on the picture of the she-devil, I get the impression they're at the stage where they're starting to question the relationship and interpret each other's comments and responses negatively, slightly suspicious that the other person's feelings have changed. One of them will probably break it off, most likely the one who didn't initiate the courtship.

It's normal for boys and girls their age and should be looked back on as natural behaviour, not an embarrassing mistake. I've had a reasonable amount of experience in this. Then again I could be too analytical and not 'natural' enough. I'm 23 and partnerless.

agent luke's signature is interesting...

Okay guys. i just want to say one thing. I've decided i'm willing to be just friends with Kelster. how you say? The agent luke who was some-what in love for months? well, Slick, you were right. everyone was right. Kelster is too old for me. i thought i knew her, and i thought i was in love with her. but i was wrong. Plasma, Kelster, good luck. as i said before, i will only and only be a friend to kelster. if she allows it.

this thread is for requests. [as you would have guessed] and "The art...IT LIVES!!!" is for improving. So, the other thread is for NOT improving. Who would've thought?

What is it with people and requests anyways? Are we going back to the time where anything any fanartist does is do requests instead of being creative by him/herself?

agent luke's sig looks like a cheap attempt to get back in favour with Kelster. But hey, he's only 11. What the hell did I do when I was 11? Sure didn't fancy random strangers on the 'net. I think I read books.

The lecture wasn't aimed at anyone in here. You can use it if you need it.

Hmm. I fell in love over the internet before. Welll, not really, I went out with some hot girl from Deviant Art, who I met in the DA Chatrooms. She was from Australia, and then actually found a boyfriend after I gave her the courage to ask someone out.

But anyway, I find this hillarious. 11 year old's fancying strangers? I'm sure at that age I was concerend about "cooties" and girls seemed to only exsist to p!ss us off.

SupSuper
22 Jul 2006, 15:15
It's perfectly possible to fall in love online (I know I have), just like it's possible to fall in love for any other number of reasons. But unless you can actually meet, the distance factor will slowly but surely tear it apart.

Still, it's the first time I see love happening in a forum. Usuaully this sort of thing happens in chatrooms where, you know, people actually talk to each other.

Who knows what happens in the contents of people's PM bins?Well the forum settings don't leave much room for long winded PM conversations, unless you keep emptying the thing. Plus it's still a slow method of talking, much like e-mailing or posting in threads.

Then again, for all I know, one of them could've just decided "I'm gonna start talking to this forumer on MSN", develop interest and eventually start a relationship.
