Think of what this could mean for video games!
You walk through a musty corridor, and you SMELL the musty corridor!

CTPlayer1: K people, let's get in...
CTPlayer2: Roger
CTPlayer3:*fart*
CTPlayer1: Ewww dude, that's not cool!
Endless fun indeed.
I bet people will only use it for farts.
What ELSE would you use it for?
Edit: Feet, maybe.
Armpits?
Anyway, I don't think we will be seeing this in games. Unless the game developers actually make sure each texture has a smell filter on it. But ugh.
Edit: Does this mean I can record the lovely smell of gasolene and then have it played back in non toxic?

...That's an AWESOME idea.
Wow! It'd be cool to record some of your favourite smells. I'd do marker pen and tarmac.

That isn't quite new, isn't it?
I remember seeing something like that a few years ago
good bye "flavored" candles after this
Oh man. Pickle juice!
...On second thought, that would just make me hungry for pickles.
...Now I AM hungry for pickles.
I've always liked the smell of a Subway restraint when you walk in.
Freashly baked bread = WIN

you don have to walk in to smell subway, that stuff is potent, you get it well across the street... but yes, subway = good.
tarmac
I'd like to have the smell of the white paint used to make all the lines on the tarmac.
Few people like that one. :D
Oh, and the smell of all the leather in a cobbler's shop.
And the smell of fresh bread at 4am when you come home drunk.

when you come home drunk.
I might be wrong but I though that ALL food smelt good when drunk?

Yes, but you hardly get to smell the fresh bread at 4am if you're not coming homing drunk and passing a bakery. :)
