W:A for Playstation won't work -- help?

I bought Worms: Armageddon for Playstation, but it won't work on my PS2. The PS2 browser/welcome screen opens, then it goes to a black screen and stays that way.

There's a few tiiiiiiny scratches on the disc, but nothing signifigant. I already tried cleaning the disc and using a scratch remover. My PS2 will play other games fine.

Is there some sort of known compatibility issue? Help, please?

have you cheked if your ps2 disk dirver is clean

Well, since your user info says Texas, you probably have a NTSC TV.
PS2 consoles & games sold in the US therefore are NTSC too.

Did you import the one or the other from somewhere else in the world, where the PAL standard is used?
