wa problems

i just found my wa cd (original) and so i installed it on my computer:

win xp home edition sp2
512 mb ram
2,8 gig. intel pentium IV processor

after the installation, i restarted my computer as i was told in the setup menu

i downloaded the newest update and the newest patch from the official team17 hp (wa.team17.com).

first i installed the update, then the patch.

when i double clicked on the wa shortcut on my desktop, i got the following error (translated from german into english):

the instruction in "0x00406942" refers to the memory in "0x6352156e". the procedure "written"could not be executed on the memory.

click "ok" to close the program.

when i click ok, nothing happens :/

Reading that, you will see you're required to install the patch first, then the update.

Or the update only if your version is on v3.0 already.
