I was goofing around with the folder with the mission files in it, and didn't back it up (stupid, I know...)... long story short, I screwed up the mission .wam files.
I would appreciate it a TON if someone could send me their data>mission folder (probably in a one file, zip format would be easiest). I can return the favor if anybody needs anything, I'm good with graphic design :p, but unless you need that it's probably just a favor i'd be thankful for.
AIM me at IrvineKinneas509/msn me at irvinekinneas509@comcast.net or send it to irvinekinneas509@gmail.com, or upload it at a site like rapidshare.de and post it here.
Thank you!
There ye go: http://www.zshare.net/download/mission-backup-rar.html
Next time don't play with the files on the ISO without backing them up first!

I made the same mistake as irvinekinn, but only with my mission 1 files (pumpkin), and would appreciate similar help.
If you could re-up the file or just 01.wam, I'd love ya.

Hmm...
What about copying the original mission files from the original CD?
Huh? :-/

I would do that if I could find it. I moved this winter and lost my book of cd's, originally hundreds of $$'s worth. I had worms armageddon and a couple of other games on my laptop's HD with no-cd cracks, along with a bunch of games with regular installations....those are all useless now. Lucky for me, I became annoyed with changing discs every time I changed games and cracked my favorites.
I had elite on deathmatch and had gotten gold on all training missions last year, and I was going to try and finish up the easy way (changing the opponent's starting health in the .wam file) but I messed up my first attempt. I usually keep backups of game files when I'm screwing with this sort of thing and in this case it would have been smart but I thought I had things perfect....the usual mistake.
Sorry if it is an inconvenience, I was hoping to get all gold in missions this week and have another finished game on my computer for the sake of completion.
It's more fun to have completed games by gaining the skill to complete them, rather than cheating. Cheating sort of defeats the purpose of the challenge.

I had played a few of the missions when I first got the game a couple of years ago but started a new team (the one I use now) to re-do the whole thing. As I mentioned, I have Elite in deathmatch, gold in the training, and have gold on all but the first, simplest mission-so "skill" has nothing to do with it. I just remember finding the missions boring, so I was going to skip them...putting me in the position I'm in now. If KRD or someone else is willing to help I can try the first mission how it was meant to be, instead of the f'd up version I have now.
I have earned gold on all of the missions now the old fashion way (playing), except for the first one (there's no way to beat it now) and I would like to finish things off.
"Fun" is subjective, by the way. Some people get off on cheating.
Well, the first mission is ridiculously easily beatable in 1 turn, so you don't really need to worry about having that one completed to your satisfaction. You may as well cheat on it, since it's already pretty much cheated, having the rope in the scheme.

I wish I could finish it, cheating or not. As I said, I screwed up the mission1.wam file and was too stupid to back it up. I'm an ass.
What I meant is that you might as well edit the file again so that the mission is winnable.

I have tried to get things back to the way they were, but it has been a while since I messed the file up. That is why I need the file. I can't be sure what is wrong with mine until I get a hold of the original, or at least the text in the original. If anyone is willing to help out, all that I need to know are the original settings.
All you really need to do is check one of the other .WAM files and edit the file using the same format, so it's, at least, beatable. That is, while you wait for the original.
When/if you do get the original, you might want to know that you can easily have fun with editing files on the CD without changing the original files by using a modular piece of software by CyberShadow called WormKit (http://www.maplecenter.net/wormkit).

The simplest solution was right under my nose. Thanks Lex, I just copied and renamed mission2 to mission1. Now both are the same, but at least I have the game completed.
This wormkit is great, thanks again.
