Hi,
Just purchased and installed Worms 4:Mayhem. All the start up moves play fine but when it gets to the main menu everything runs at a crawl and it's almost impossible to move the pointer to any options. The same thing happens when you actually start a game, i get maybe 2 frames a second.
My specs are
Athlon XP 3000
Geforce 6800 Ultra Deluxe GFX (Nvidia 77.77 driver)
Creative Audigy soundcard
1Gb PC 3200 Ram
Asus A7V8X Mobo
Maxtor 200gb Hdd
I've also just updated my Audigy drivers but it's still the same problem, any suggestions?
Cheers,
Clem
Have you disabled the on-board sound on your motherboard?
Having two sound devices active at the same time caused loads of problems for me with WM.

Yeah i have prof, thats been disabled ever since i've had the machine :(
You aint the only one, game here (well, both the online/offline demos, full W4 yet to be released in North America) runs around 7-10 FPS average on my setup :
AMD64 3200+ (2.21ghz)
Geforce6800 GT (driver v61.17, all the recent ones cause issue;s during games)
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS
1gb 2700 DDR RAM
Everything aside from the vid card all up to date in drivers as well, tried game with only the minimal amount of processes running, still nothing. Asked a couple times about this on the forum, didnt really get an actual response.

DX 9c has been installed for a long time
Have you tried a re-install? That might help.

Ok solved the problem, this is a copy of the post i've put on the codies forum which might help anyone with this problem.
Ok i've got some positive news. It seems that the problem is indeed to do with the Saitek Gamers Keyboard. After reading a previous post by CodeTen who also had the same problem as myself and was also using the Gamers Keyboard I thought i would try something out.
I went into device manager and expanded Human Interface Devices then right clicked on one of the entries entitled USB human interface device (I had two of these entries for the Gamers Keyboard) and selected disable.
Then when i run the game it absolutely flies along!
So it seems this problem for me is an incompatabilty with the keyboard drivers not the audigy card, I can understand that maybe the game wasnt tested with this keyboard so no hard feelings Team 17! LOL
Ok off to have a play at long last.
Cheers,
Clem

When I disable the extra driver for my Saitek keyboard, I lose the functionality of it's volume and mute buttons. I can always disable just to play Worms, but that can get annoying.
