Can I suggest a confusion-gas bomb? It'd be great to toss one at your opponent and watch (depending on human / AI) them struggle with either weird mouse sensitivity and keyboard setup or confused aim lines. It could wear off after 1 complete cycle of worms, but it'd allow you to avoid fire briefly from a certain worm/s.
It's really rather annoying to be forced into an area by a couple of worms; I should know; but this (weapon? utility?) could disrupt one and allow you to escape courtesy of a Parachute or Jet Pack. Although setting a time delay might be kind of difficult, it wouldn't be much harder than a grenade to throw, and could be very useful.

I never thought that, for once in my life, i'd see a newbie make a weapon suggestion that either isn't complete crap, or is horribly described like Ivan V's suggestion. It's very creative, but it would take a very long time to code it. I think it would be better if the weapon you fired while affected by the poison gas was twice as powerful. Poison gas is an odd name for this weapon, though. Let me add an edited version:
Poison Gas- Fire a grenade-sized canister. It has the spray radius and spreadage physics of a skunk's gas fully unloaded. It also spreads the same way that skunk gas does when propelled by the wind. The worms that the gas reaches are the worms that are hard to control. Any worm can be affected by it.

Dirtball - small hand thrown weapon lands on ground and rolls downhill (in flat areas, in direction of throw). It slowly gets bigger over time, and any worms it touches lose an amount of health relative to the dirtball's size and get knocked to the side. The dirtball explodes (causing minimal damage to nearby worms) when it can no longer go downhill, or else it just sinks. Any worm can be hit.
Pros:
Very wormy
Hard to control, so it's not just a destroy-everything-ahead-of-you weapon (although, it could be if that seems easier to program)
Can go over some obstacles if it's going fast enough (unlike mad cow)
The further it goes (and thus the harder it is to aim) the more damage it does, so although you could kill that worm right over *there*, the chance of the shot hitting it is low.
Cons:
Could be hard to use / aim at all
As it keeps increasing in size, there's a lot of programming to be done
Ditto if it ought to go up hills if it has enough speed
You'd need to be able to clearly see the height of terrain and inspect it first.

I think this thread should either be moved to W4 suggestions or closed: I can't see the point of it for W3D, and few people seem to have ever touched this.
tanchekhoe - That comes out the same as a shotgun fired twice, and the shotgun is more mobile. I doubt such a weapon would be used unless it took off 60 or something. :confused:
dansworms - Why such an odd name for the weapon? And anyway, that would be too random. It might kill your opponent, but then again it could just do 1 h.p. - it needs extra perimeters, like "random 30-90 points damage". And think of a better name than sausage machine... :-/

You seem to have an unusual attraction to weapons of the newbish persuasion. How about some weapons that actually require someting more than an extremely low amount of skill, and the ones that DO have skill needed, are horribly overpowered. Sorry for my poor sentence structure in that last paragraph.

UFO LAUNCHER: Throw an ufo with your bazooka. It fires beams when it is in the air, damaging the worms that are under it at the moment.

There was nothing wrong with Fwd. Adm.'s post - it was well constructed and on-topic and provided valid counter-arguments for your suggestions.
However, your post, like the one quoted above, was pure spam and was removed.
You really are not helping yourself get rid of that Being Watched status. In fact, you're probably pushing yourself closer to the even more desirable "Banned" status.

i got an idea! lap dogs! (in worms forts looks like that dogs house.. forgot how to say it in english...)
you throw adog that instead of walking like old lady, he's bouncing, and every where it bounce it explodes and continue bouncing for 7 seconds, than the poor lap dog yips and explodes.
you may detonate it earlier...
if it bounced on a worm does 30 damage,if it explodes on a worms it does 50 damage (pretty much aye?)
octopus launcher- like the bazooka, but it is NOT affected by wind and like the mortar launched in full power.
it does 20 damage.
ultimate mortar and cluster (of course a secret weapon)- the ultimate mortar is actually a mortar that you may decide in how much power will it be launched, and when it hits a foe, it explodes (20 damage) and each of his clusters (4) does 20 damage.
the grenade may be detonated as in worms 3D and forts you can decide how much time until explodes.
when explodes near a foe does 15 damage and each of the clusters (4) does 25...

Anyway, a couple of new ideas:
Electric shock - Your worm drops a battery and has a few seconds to run away. Then the battery fires a strong charge into the ground around its location, say dynamite-blast size. Any worms within this area are shocked - the nearer the battery the more damage it causes. However, the electric shock does not destroy terrain or knock worms around, more than a slight jerk. This means if you've grouped your enemies together over the last few turns they are not spread over the landscape, so you can hit most of the group with a cluster next turn. However, E.S. can hurt your worms too.
Cold Feet - More of a utility. After activation, your worm moves around as normal (like using Fast Walk, without the speed bonus). However, wherever your worm walks, an icy film appears behind it. If your worm jumps, no ice is laid in the gap. Should your worm, or any worm next turn, walk or land on the ice, they continue moving in the same direction until they reach the edge of the ice or, as the 1st worm has prepared, a mine or the water. It wears off after your opponent's turn, and evaorates. This kind of weapon would make prod even more deadly.

Worm takes up a flute put's it in mouth beggining to...um yeah using it Then you must Tap Left right as fast as you can.Nearby worms Can't hold out (The worm does not play flute good)
And will be hurted Random 20-70 HP
As long as you tap the more you can hurt other worms.

Too powerful! The first one is OK , but the others...nah! Super troopers: It would make your game boring.
Bazzok nuc: Too strong, it would blow up the whole island
Devils Attack: Too powerful again, come on, then you need never your other weapons.

And others:
W. O. R. M. S. Bomb - It's not a joke! This is WORst Mega Surprise! This one is dropped on random place on landscape and cause damage like lottery strike - but ramdomnessly is from 0 to 1000! When its exploding, you hear "Wormsong" melody.
Pig with mines - It walking and jumping like sheep. You have 4 mines in this. Press Enter to drop Mine, and press space to explode. When you don't drop all of mines, mines are dropped automatically by explosion.

Bomber Squadron - There are 5 airstrike bombers in one line - droping bombs like airstrike.That could destroy an entire route from one side of the game to the other. Too strong.
W. O. R. M. S. Bomb - It's not a joke! This is WORst Mega Surprise! This one is dropped on random place on landscape and cause damage like lottery strike - but ramdomnessly is from 0 to 1000! When its exploding, you hear "Wormsong" melody.The maximum health of a worm at the start is 250. So there's a 75% chance any worms near the spot will die... and that's if they have full health! And random positioning? Your worms could be instantly destroyed! Again, too strong, and too random.

The pig's explosion would have to be pretty weak though, otherwise those mines could easily be blasted into the water.
Nice thoughts, but need a little more consideration.
tool-boat- it allows your worm move across water etc.
weapon-grenade jugler- it looks like a worm juggling and its nose is "bally" and red like clowns nose, and when you shoot it drops 3 grenades (green, blue, and red) the damage dealt by the green is 20 and it's the lightest grenade, the blue one is more heavy and does 30 damage, and the last is the red one wich deals 50 damage but its is the heaviest so it lands first and may not hit the target.
weapon- bat mine- that's a mine shaped as a bat and may be launched at the enemy. actually it's a mine launcher, deals 35 damage.
weapon- super soaker- this is a gun shooting water, when lands on the ground it turns into a pond and if a worm falls into it- it dies instantly, but if it is sprays directly on a worm- it does nothing but a wet worm.

poison needle:the poison needle kinda looks like the prod but he is holding a needle. and like the prod the worm gives a little poke. witch the needle can do. and makes the enemy worm sick and takes away 4 health points each turn. [what an evil docter!]
worm roaster: long oven like thing with robot arms just with the left trigger [4 XBOX] aim where you want the oven/worm roaster to be place'd and aim again where you want the robot arms to pick up any way it picks up a worm traps it in this see throo oven door and when it comes out the other side of the long oven the worm is black 4 the rest of the round and takes away a whopping 90 health!!
Reproduce:
You choose a worm, and it reproduces. It splits along its middle and becomes two worms, each with half the original worm's health.
I am not sure whether a) They are each normal worms which can be used.
or b) They are each slightly smaller wearing a baby costume and have KIDZ voice. This would be funny! Maybe the kids even have extra special weapons such as...I dunno... dirty diapers or evil ritual rattles.
The point of this utility is simply to provide yourself with another worm in the game. After using it, you have retreat time in which to move one of the worms away to reduce risk of multikill.
Reinforcements:
I always thought that t'would be cool to be able to call in worm reinforcements. You choose a location and a plane (or boat for the coast) comes and delivers some reinforcements. Each team has a set number of reinforcements at their home base, and they can choose how many worms to call in when using this utility.
If you deliver the worms just at the coast, a boat goes to that location and moves perpendicular to the coastline, letting a worm out at preset time-intervals. This reduces risks of easy multikills, i.e. the enemy knocking all the reinforcements into the water. However, if you really want to deliver the worms inland where it is safer, a helicopter or plane comes and drops the worms onto land from a low height, therefore they tend to receive fall damage and bounce around a bit.
- This utility uses up a turn.
- An interesting strategy is brought into the game, i.e. if a single worm is hiding then he is able to call for back-up, or you can simply drop worms on him.
Worm-eating plant:
Remember those biting plants from super mario? You get your worm to dress up in some farmer's costume, and he plants a funny-looking seed where he is standing. Run away, and soon there is a small worm-eating plant there. It grows after some turns. It has the ability to stretch a certain distance and eat any moving worm it sees. However the worm must be moving, and the plant eats a maximum of one worm per turn. If there is already a worm next to it, then the worm must teleport away or just stand still until the plant dies, otherwise he will get eaten. You can knock worms into the plant or stupidly walk past it.
Darts:
Your worm throws small darts, as in darts from the game darts. He is wearing a dart-throwing costume. The throwing is accurate, like the shotgun, however they do less damage and there are three separate darts, as in darts. You therefore get three individual shots.
Wrestling match:
Ok this is going a bit far but... you go up to a worm and use it. The worms become pre-set fighters, eg. muscley, kung-fu, boxing, i dunno. A wrestling ring appears and both worms fight it out to the death in real-time mode. They fight with fire punches, dragon-balls and jump-body slams Crash Bandicoot style. When one worm dies, the turn ends and everything goes away. However, upon challenging, the first worm gets a powerful free hit to start with. This weapon would be funny, and would introduce a real-time mode. It would also be a skill to master, because you can win the match in defence even though you have a disadvantage.
Taunt:
Simply taunts the enemy. Probably used in a definite win situation, but is a waste of a go. Well it would not be a waste if the taunt was hilariously funny.
Dimension stamper:
OK this is absolutly absurd and would take some programming. Don't get angry with me if the idea is too crazy, it was simply an idea.
You get your worm, and use your weapon in a particular direction. A visible, vertical see-through wall is created temporarily along the chosen axis. And then... the entire 3D map is squashed down along this axis to become 2D. The animation of this sequence would be hilarious! There are problems where the land goes up and down perpendicular to the axis, so the computer takes the average height of the axis to form the height of an individual dot of land in 2D. No worms are kiled, if they were in a crevice they will be moved upwards with the squashing. When this is finished, all the worms will be sitting in a 2D world, which plays exactly like the previous 2D games! It would be complicated, but amazing to witness. It would be perfect for all those people who miss the old 2D games.

When you play it, the worm on the enemy team with the most healt, lose most of his health. And after that, you can hit anyone you want with the guitar in his head! :)

You never know what happens! You use the full sight on the landscape, pick wich enemy worm you wanna take out, and then, wait and see. They could be shocked by a electric light, it can fall 5 health crates down to them, or, the stick can explode and you can kill yourself! ;)
PLASTIC BUBBLE
What about a bazooka you can fire, but it aint coming out a bullet, but a buble! The worm you fire it at will be trapped in the bubble for 2 turns before it melts. While he's in there you can prod it and push it out to the water.
THE OLD "KARATE" WOMAN
You realease her at the worm you wanna kill, and when she hits him, she starts performing some real hard karate on the worm before he hits the ground and she explodes.

tool-boat- it allows your worm move across water etc.
weapon-grenade jugler- it looks like a worm juggling and its nose is "bally" and red like clowns nose, and when you shoot it drops 3 grenades (green, blue, and red) the damage dealt by the green is 20 and it's the lightest grenade, the blue one is more heavy and does 30 damage, and the last is the red one wich deals 50 damage but its is the heaviest so it lands first and may not hit the target.
weapon- bat mine- that's a mine shaped as a bat and may be launched at the enemy. actually it's a mine launcher, deals 35 damage.
weapon- super soaker- this is a gun shooting water, when lands on the ground it turns into a pond and if a worm falls into it- it dies instantly, but if it is sprays directly on a worm- it does nothing but a wet worm.
ok how about when you shoot a worm with the super soaker it does not just make a wet worm but makes it really slippery like when the worm you shot at [with the super soaker] has its turn his turn will be harder cuz he's slippin every where?

i have another weapon idea! the fishing pole! like the shotgun you get 2 try's ok you pull out the fishing pole then aim them hold A to make power go up then if the hook on the line catch's the worm. then you can cast it again you can cast it onto land and then there head gets stuck. or you can cast it into the water! now thats what i call fishing!

Worm Reproduction

Reproduce:
You choose a worm, and it reproduces. It splits along its middle and becomes two worms, each with half the original worm's health.
I am not sure whether a) They are each normal worms which can be used.
or b) They are each slightly smaller wearing a baby costume and have KIDZ voice. This would be funny! Maybe the kids even have extra special weapons such as...I dunno... dirty diapers or evil ritual rattles.
The point of this utility is simply to provide yourself with another worm in the game. After using it, you have retreat time in which to move one of the worms away to reduce risk of multikill.
Reinforcements:
I always thought that t'would be cool to be able to call in worm reinforcements. You choose a location and a plane (or boat for the coast) comes and delivers some reinforcements. Each team has a set number of reinforcements at their home base, and they can choose how many worms to call in when using this utility.
If you deliver the worms just at the coast, a boat goes to that location and moves perpendicular to the coastline, letting a worm out at preset time-intervals. This reduces risks of easy multikills, i.e. the enemy knocking all the reinforcements into the water. However, if you really want to deliver the worms inland where it is safer, a helicopter or plane comes and drops the worms onto land from a low height, therefore they tend to receive fall damage and bounce around a bit.
- This utility uses up a turn.
- An interesting strategy is brought into the game, i.e. if a single worm is hiding then he is able to call for back-up, or you can simply drop worms on him.
Worm-eating plant:
Remember those biting plants from super mario? You get your worm to dress up in some farmer's costume, and he plants a funny-looking seed where he is standing. Run away, and soon there is a small worm-eating plant there. It grows after some turns. It has the ability to stretch a certain distance and eat any moving worm it sees. However the worm must be moving, and the plant eats a maximum of one worm per turn. If there is already a worm next to it, then the worm must teleport away or just stand still until the plant dies, otherwise he will get eaten. You can knock worms into the plant or stupidly walk past it.
Darts:
Your worm throws small darts, as in darts from the game darts. He is wearing a dart-throwing costume. The throwing is accurate, like the shotgun, however they do less damage and there are three separate darts, as in darts. You therefore get three individual shots.
Wrestling match:
Ok this is going a bit far but... you go up to a worm and use it. The worms become pre-set fighters, eg. muscley, kung-fu, boxing, i dunno. A wrestling ring appears and both worms fight it out to the death in real-time mode. They fight with fire punches, dragon-balls and jump-body slams Crash Bandicoot style. When one worm dies, the turn ends and everything goes away. However, upon challenging, the first worm gets a powerful free hit to start with. This weapon would be funny, and would introduce a real-time mode. It would also be a skill to master, because you can win the match in defence even though you have a disadvantage.
Taunt:
Simply taunts the enemy. Probably used in a definite win situation, but is a waste of a go. Well it would not be a waste if the taunt was hilariously funny.
Dimension stamper:
OK this is absolutly absurd and would take some programming. Don't get angry with me if the idea is too crazy, it was simply an idea.
You get your worm, and use your weapon in a particular direction. A visible, vertical see-through wall is created temporarily along the chosen axis. And then... the entire 3D map is squashed down along this axis to become 2D. The animation of this sequence would be hilarious! There are problems where the land goes up and down perpendicular to the axis, so the computer takes the average height of the axis to form the height of an individual dot of land in 2D. No worms are kiled, if they were in a crevice they will be moved upwards with the squashing. When this is finished, all the worms will be sitting in a 2D world, which plays exactly like the previous 2D games! It would be complicated, but amazing to witness. It would be perfect for all those people who miss the old 2D games.

-The worm eating plant is overpowered; you are able to get multiple instant kills.
-As you said, the darts are just a modified shotgun.
-Team17 would have to reprogram the game for the Wrestling Match to work, and I'd doubt they'd do it for one weapon.

Further to what you have said:
Worm reproduction could keep splitting the team, and make the game last almost forever. Also, option b) would be really irratating.
Reinforcements, the same.
Worm-eating plant - a whole load of things need to be programmed in for that to work - too much for a single weapon.
Darts - why would anyone want a low-power, triple shotgun? The two-barreled one will surely do.
Wrestling match - different game.
Taunt - modified skip go, wouldn't be used.
Dimesion stamper - completely bonkers.
Try something a little more likely next time.

You never know what happens! You use the full sight on the landscape, pick wich enemy worm you wanna take out, and then, wait and see. They could be shocked by a electric light, it can fall 5 health crates down to them, or, the stick can explode and you can kill yourself!
PLASTIC BUBBLE
What about a bazooka you can fire, but it aint coming out a bullet, but a buble! The worm you fire it at will be trapped in the bubble for 2 turns before it melts. While he's in there you can prod it and push it out to the water.
THE OLD "KARATE" WOMAN
You realease her at the worm you wanna kill, and when she hits him, she starts performing some real hard karate on the worm before he hits the ground and she explodes.

Plastic Bubble: Can the enemy worm take damage while in the bubble? Also, why bother wasting your turn in order to make an enemy lose his turn?
Old "Karate" Woman: This is too similar to the old woman. Good for laughs, but not much else.

You'd be a fool to. You'd be better off shooting one of their worms and then drowning them in the retreat time. And then it would be your go and you'd be able to kill another one. It's such a bad idea.

This is more an utility than a weapon, but...
How about Teleother?
You choose a thing(worm,barrel,mine,crate...) and then you choose a place where to teleport it(not water)

Or how about the guitar of death? It effects every worms nearby. (Closer it does more damage)
You start to play it, and you have to press the movement buttons right, so it makes more damage.It goes even faster and faster, until it goes so fast, that it will make instant death. If you press wrong, it ends with that damage.

This is a competition? I thought this was all just a bit of fun...
Anyway, a couple of new ideas:
Electric shock - Your worm drops a battery and has a few seconds to run away. Then the battery fires a strong charge into the ground around its location, say dynamite-blast size. Any worms within this area are shocked - the nearer the battery the more damage it causes. However, the electric shock does not destroy terrain or knock worms around, more than a slight jerk. This means if you've grouped your enemies together over the last few turns they are not spread over the landscape, so you can hit most of the group with a cluster next turn. However, E.S. can hurt your worms too.
What is the maximum damage it can do?
Can it explode barrels and crates, too?
I like it.
Cold Feet - More of a utility. After activation, your worm moves around as normal (like using Fast Walk, without the speed bonus). However, wherever your worm walks, an icy film appears behind it. If your worm jumps, no ice is laid in the gap. Should your worm, or any worm next turn, walk or land on the ice, they continue moving in the same direction until they reach the edge of the ice or, as the 1st worm has prepared, a mine or the water. It wears off after your opponent's turn, and evaorates. This kind of weapon would make prod even more deadly.
Well then there should be an utility like spike boots, what makes that effect uneffectable for one turn.
How long the ice stay on the ground?
Does it stay longer in arctic mode?

Cons: interferes with the "TBS" style of worms. also could make games a bit annoying ::rolleyes:

Like the rope, but when you fire it and it hits the terrain, you are automaticaly moved to there and you dont have to swing like the rope :p
uh, dude. i figured out how to do something kinda like that but harder with the ninja rope..... but whats hard about it is that you can get stuck sometimes (at least, i have...) and if u hit water, u die. but that is pretty good idea.:cool:

An airplane releases a nuclear bomb just above the opponents heads (by aiming with E/Q). It detonates 3-5 worm-lengths above them, and at the point of detonation, a shock wave spreads outwards, blowing nearby worms out in all directions (minimal loss of lives, 0-15).
The fireball produces afterwinds just beneath it which sucks the worms benath it (and dirt) up into the fireball (consiting og radio active debris/dirt). Maximum amount of immidiate damage = 85. Worms sucked into the nuclear cloud suffer radio active illness and must as soon as possible collect a health box to get rid of it (after they've fallen down to ground). After everything is over, a huge crater is all what's left.

Well, that's actually up to you guys. My suggestion is that you could reduce the maximum damage rate, making this weapon less hostile and giving your oppenents a 'second chance'. :)
A hand grenade in Worms 3D is never the same as a hand grenade in reality, right? The explosions they make when detonated are a lot smaller and less deadly than the ones in real life. Why not do this with this nuke? It could be a miniature version of a Hirsohima-nuke; a caricature, like all the other weapons in Worms 3D.

how about as a utility there could be a double shot one. so were ever you fire another bullet follows. Not two seperate shots because that could be alot more unfair but just 2 bazooka shells are shot out one after the other for example. It would have to be a somewhat rare utility though because of how powerful it could be.:D

How about Super Holy Hand Grenade? Like normal HHG but it combined with the cluster bomb! after it explodes, it splits into 5 smaller HHG and do mass devastation. The clusters do about 125 damage.
