it's a normal day. i'm going to the market to buy some food. i want some cookies to eat.
And then, i see cookies with a free worms blast cd-rom.
the cookies are 1,95 :O
i don't see why, but no one likes this game, i do, but the game magazines says it has bad gameplay etc.

Well it was a spin off so no one really cared for it. It doesn't really play all that good. I have the demo in the worms tripple pack.
Worms Blast in a coookie box? lol!

IT* was given away free with the Sun on saturday ( newspaper ) I cut out the coupon and take it down to rental shop. Been playing it the past few days. Good value since the paper was 40p. Ive had a lot of fun with it and its a great game. Best played with friends.

Ow, Iv'e never heard of that sort of commercial way on how to both sell things in a store and then a game with it too :/. Demo's have been like that, but never a whole game sure. Wonder if the E.T game would have been sold out by doing something like that, so they didn't have to dig it down down in the desert of Mexico heh.

What an intruiging development. Don't think this is a sign of things to come, though (namely things of a fudge-esque variety).

I feel cheated! I payed £8.00 for it pre-owned down at GameStation and since then, me and my friends havn't been able to put it down. Sure the single player modes suck and the AI never stood a chance, but playing deathmatch against someone else is loads of fun.

It was in the Netherlands but the CD-ROMs are gone now...
but it was too funny to watch, you saw that worm in his boat aiming on some cookies... (cookie blast)
i think in a game it's better to get a difficulty setting. when i played it i was stuck in the first 7 missions, with the two minute blast away... when i won it many more difficult came and more easy ones later...
when i won almost the whole game exept for some last missions i quitted and used the character and game cheat, so i didn't had to do the last missions. (ok it's stupid)

Heh, that game(ET) came free if you hired some internet service from Telmex(a telephone company) or something like that a while ago :p
Which cookies were those? I'd love to find in something like that!

Ah,in the Netherlands.Wow,it must look good:D.And missions which I hate the most are"clean the map in XXX time without throwing any block to water" or "destroy YYY blocks without coloring ZZZ blocks".They're veeeeeeeeery difficult.

p.s. if they did, I want one! They obviously didnt, its another one of those free giveaways that manufacturs do by taken a random something which is cheap and rubbish but looks good when you want to buy it. Unfortunatly when this happens customers know what to expect from this give away and most decide not to buy it or at least buy the cookies and sell the CD

Those cookies where Prince, do you also heard about Prince cookies in Italia? I guess not.

They probably just had a big stock of cookie's, that came close to the best before mark. So they did it like that, the only thing iv'e got when I bought a game, where some refrigerator magnet's which came with FF X-2 :/, I would like something that you could eat instead.

Maybe becuase it's a spin-off and no one buyed it (i did,and i like it, but the rest of the world isn't me)
Hey maybe it's a good idea to not buy WFUS for a month maybe then they put it in the cookie box again :p

Not very good logic on your part, Boggy. Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble is actually a spin-off and not only is it one of Japan's most popular and successful games this side of Dance Dance Revolution, but it was actually the inspiration for Worms Blast.

Eh.. Yeah i mean that...
But that almost no one buyed it IS the reason it got in the cookie box. If i go to shops with computer games in it i mostly see Worms Blast for 4.95.

Companies give away videogames with their goods all of the time. EA Games made a whole mess of games for Nestlé a couple of years ago for their cereals, and the PC version of Rayman Gold was given away for free to promote Rayman 3 in some stores.
Worms Blast was not a resoundnig success but that's not why it came free with a box of smegging cookies.

Lol thats great. Cookies and game. I also got the "Sun" promotion, but I lost the disk before I got to installing it (still looking). :D
i dont know i guess all the hardcore wormers were dissapointed because they wanted worms not some puzzle game... im not surprised that it was sold with a cereal or cookies a lot of the bad games end up like that...
Bad games arent always selled with food... I got roller coaster tycoon 2 in a cereal box, an its was the very first game I played... YAH! FOR FOOD WITH GAMES!
